They had followed the star through desert sands, over cresting waves, and high mountains. It shone with uncanny brilliance over the entire world, casting a radiance of wonder and breathless expectation over the hearts of those who could read the coming miracle in the stars. Three wise men from the far-distant Orient saw, and followed that sparkling star of hope as it guided them to the city of Bethlehem.
The star's light came to rest over a rude inn stable, bathing it in incandescence. Within they found the Holy Family, their faces, indeed the very air surrounding them, brimming with heavenly grace and God's glory. Heedless of their own costly garments, the visitors fell to their knees in speechless joy, presenting the light-filled mother and son with priceless gifts ... gold, sweet frankincense, and perfumed myrrh.
Yet they brought other gifts as well, even more precious. They brought their love and devotion to the newborn Christ child ... and spread the joyous news of their epiphany to the entire world.
Artist Hector Garrido brings this epic moment in the history of mankind to splendid, heart-stirring life with -Gifts of the Magi.-
