A Country Wonderland Collection - The Quiet Hour- by Wilhelm J. Goebel

A Country Wonderland Collection - The Quiet Hour- by Wilhelm J. Goebel

SKU: p0857

A Country Wonderland Collection, -The Quiet Hour- by Wilhelm J. Goebel. First issue in this series. Bradford Exchange, 1996. Plate size approx 8.5 by 6.0 inches. Suggested Retail $50.00.

It's hard to find a quiet hour.

An hour of peacefully sitting and meditating on the beauty that surrounds us.

An hour of seeking answers to questions that have not yet been asked.

An hour of doing absolutely nothing.

Yes, finding a quiet hour is often a challenge.

Yet taking those sixty minutes to myself often brings surprises that warm my heart with their spontaneity and beauty.

Like a pair of bright winter cardinals. As if by magic, these two regal birds, dressed in their scarlet and gold best, descend on a fragrant pine bough and sing sweet songs of harmony.

Alone except for the company of the cardinals and my own thoughts, my awareness of nature's extraordinary gifts is heightened by the solitude of the silent icy pasture.
And these two cardinals, dressed in scarlet and gold, seem to me symbols of all that is good and pure and beautiful in this world.

As the bright rays of the golden sun warm the cold dawn, these two cardinals bring a song of peace to my quiet hour.

The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently fired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
