Lords of the Forest and Canyon collection, -Grand Domain- by Greg Beecham.

Lords of the Forest and Canyon collection, -Grand Domain- by Greg Beecham.

SKU: p1061

Lords of the Forest and Canyon collection, -Grand Domain- by Greg Beecham. Fifth issue in this series. Bradford Exchange, 1994. Plate size approx. 8.25 inches. Suggested retail $60.00.

Blending almost invisibly with the late-summer grass in a mountain forest clearing, the golden cougar crouches behind a fallen trunk. Its sensitive nostrils have picked up a hint of prey on the soft summer wind. Ears alert and eyes shining like amber gems, it waits patiently and silently for the right moment to make its lightning spring.

Acclaimed wildlife artist Greg Beecham vividly portrays the satiny grace and savage power inherent in the lordly North American cougar—demonstrating why the great cat claims the forest as its grand domain. No other creature there is its equal; no other can resist its awesome, might. The cougar is endangered only by man.

With this magnificent montage portrait, fifth in his Lords of the Forest and Canyon collection, Mr. Beecham brings us face to face with the mighty cougar, as well. So intense is its expression, and so
intelligent its piercing gaze, you feel almost as mesmerized as the subject of its terrifying attention.

-Grand Domain- is a wonderful addition to your very special Greg Beecham collection—a fitting tribute to the undoubted ruler of its wilderness domain.

The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently fired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
