"First Kiss" by Donald Zolan 1994
SKU: p1348
Donald Zolan's own story about his new framed minature lithoghaph, a single issue celebrating Valentine's Day 1994. -- I've always liked Valentine's Day ever since I discovered it meant heart-shaped boxes of chocolates and big hugs for everybody in the house. I painted "First Kiss" to show how spontaneous love can be. I wanted the little girl and boy in it to show the tenderness and newness of love that lives in each of us. The girl has suddenly decided to kiss her favorite friend. She's leaning his way to plant her kiss on his chin. I gave these kids a sunny day, a quiet lake, a big dock, a thick forest behind them, and one another to share everything with. They're both brand new at kissing. She's kissing his chin and he's kissing her nose. But he's getting her message even though she's missed his lips. Their kiss captures just one of their happy moments together. It shows the natural tenderness between them that makes them love each other's company all day long. -- Colector price $49.95. Size 8.5 by 6.5 inches.
