"Country Walk" By Donald Zolan
SKU: p1340
I remember how my son used to take his little sister on walks. I loved the innocence and trust I saw in her and the confidence I saw in him. That's why I painted "Country Walk." The boy is a lot taller than his sister so he can really look down into her devoted eyes. She's looking up at him with an expression that says she'd believe anything he tells her. They're holding hands to add to the happy feelings between them. They're walking along slowly enough for her little legs to keep up with his long legs. The picture is filled with sunshine. I can't remember putting so much light into a picture before. Somehow all the light seemed to slow me down too, so I could wander along with the children. Most of the light in the picture is on the path ahead of them. This way they can walk into it. I felt this was a way to say there's happiness ahead.
