Baskets of Love collection - Emily & Elliott by Alexei Isakov. Third

Baskets of Love collection - Emily & Elliott by Alexei Isakov. Third

SKU: p1042

Baskets of Love collection, -Emily & Elliott- by Alexei Isakov. Third issue in this series. Bradford Exchange, 1993. Plate size approx. 8.25 inches. Suggested retail $50.00.

Are those kittens in that wicker basket or just two little balls of fluff? Look closer and you'll see they're two cuddly kittens of the long-hair breed — one pewter colored, one tabby.

This pair of heartbreakers are the stars of -Emily & Elliott,- Plate Three in the Baskets of Love collection by artist Alexei Isakov. Once again, this master of feline artistry gives us a portrait of kittens that is startlingly lifelike. That soft, soft fur almost begs to be touched. And have you ever
seen anything like those marvelous whiskers?

The kittens have obviously been hard at play — the tangled mess of rickrack is clear evidence of that. It looks like the game has exhausted Elliott because he's fast asleep. But not Emily. She's patting his paw, trying to wake him up. Her wide-open amber eyes tell us she's still raring to go.

Alexei Isakov's incredible artistry
makes these kittens so real, we almost expect to hear them miaow. From their perky ears to their tiny -leather- noses, they are sheer perfection. Best of all, as re-created on fine porcelain, -Emily & Elliott- will stay young and adorable from now on.

The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently fired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
